TIME OUT MARKET MONTREAL 2018-2019

OVERVIEW

Time Out Market Montréal is a one of a kind food and cultural market that brings the best of the city under one roof; with food from 16 of Montreal’s most outstanding chefs and restaurateurs, exciting craft cocktails from top mixologists, culinary classes and cultural experiences—all based on editorial curation. After Time Out Market brand’s success in Lisbon, Boston, Miami, New York and Chicago, the company launched its first market in Canada with Time Out Market Montréal.

 

THE BRIEF

Rose PR was engaged by Time Out Group PLC to provide full service PR support as Time Out Market prepared to launch its newest concept in Montréal. This required a diverse action plan comprised of media relations, social media management and content creation, as well as first looks, hard hat tours with Ivanhoe Cambridge, event planning and management. 

 

THE STRATEGY

Rose PR created and deployed three press releases introducing the Time Out Market concept and brand, as well as announcing all the local celebrity chefs as they signed on over a period of six months prior to the market’s opening. These press announcements and releases were then deployed to Tier A travel & Leisure, gastronomy, and lifestyle outlets across Quebec and Canada. Rose PR also managed the Time Out Market Montréal’s Instagram and Facebook accounts, regularly posting original and unique copy and high quality images. Lastly, Rose PR planned and successfully executed a 1,000-person pre-launch party and media event to officially kick off the market’s presence as a premier food hall destination in the city.

 

THE RESULT

After 10 months of full-retainer service, Rose PR successfully garnered 350 press stories amounting to over 200 million impressions, this included articles and mentions published in: La Presse, Globe and Mail, Forbes Travel, CN Traveller, The Gazette, WestJet Magazine, Toronto Star, EnRoute Magazine,, Coup de pouce, Infopresse, TVA Nouvelles, Elle Québec, Elle Canada, Magazine Véro, Travelpulse.ca CBC.ca, and 24 Heures to name a few. Furthermore through an innovative social media campaign, Rose PR earned 18,400 organic followers on Time Out Market Montreal’s Instagram account.
